Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since 1966, when designers at Letraset and James Mosley, the librarian at St Bride Printing Library in London, took a 1914 Cicero translation and scrambled it to make dummy text for Letraset’s Body Type sheets. It has survived not only many decades, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised thanks to these sheets and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker and Microsoft Word including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Invitation cards
Each graduate will receive four printed invitation cards for their guests. Admission to the ceremony is by invitation card, and every person entering the ceremony venue must present a valid invitation card. Invitation cards will be distributed to graduates on Wednesday 9 December 2026 and will not be available for collection or issuance on the day of the ceremony.
Invitation letter for families
International graduates who would like to invite family members from outside the UAE can request an official invitation letter from Student Support. [Request deadline to be confirmed] The invitation letter does not replace the invitation card. Every guest must present a valid invitation card to enter the ceremony.
Regalia collection and return
Graduates will collect their academic regalia on Wednesday 9 December 2026. A regalia deposit of AED [amount to be confirmed] is required at the time of collection and will be refunded upon the return of the regalia after the ceremony. Graduates must return their regalia on the designated return date. Further details on collection and return arrangements are available on the regalia page.
Photography and live streaming
GSU will provide official photography covering the class photograph, individual graduate portraits, and the ceremony proceedings. The graduation ceremony will also be streamed live, with the recording made available afterward on the GSU Graduation webpage.
Unable to attend
Please inform Student Support as early as possible if you are unable to attend the ceremony. This will allow us to make the necessary arrangements. No one may attend the ceremony or participate on your behalf, and your certificate cannot be collected by another person on your behalf.
