Please review the following instructions to prepare for graduation and understand what to expect on the day.

Before the ceremony
  • Confirm your details. Review your name and degree details with the Registrar’s Office to ensure they are correct, as they will appear on your certificate.
  • Complete your regalia fitting. Attend your scheduled fitting. Student Support will communicate the arrangements.
  • Attend the graduation rehearsal. Attendance is mandatory for all participating graduates. The rehearsal will familiarize you with seating arrangements, the order of proceedings, and how to enter and leave the stage.
On ceremony day
  1. Graduates should arrive from 8:00 am and must be on site no later than 8:30 am.
  2. Check in on arrival. Report to the designated graduate check-in desk.
  3. Follow the Graduation Team’s instructions.
  4. Remain until the ceremony and recessional procession have concluded, unless instructed otherwise by the Graduation Team.
  5. Switch off and put away your mobile phone throughout the ceremony.
  6. Do not take photographs or record videos during the ceremony, including while on stage. GSU will provide official photography and video coverage.
