Ceremony Instructions

Important information for graduates to prepare for and follow before and during the graduation ceremony.

 

Before the ceremony
  • Review your name and degree details with the Registrar’s Office and ensure that all information is correct before the ceremony. These details will appear on your certificate.
  • Complete your regalia fitting as scheduled. Regalia details and fitting arrangements will be communicated by the Student Support office.
  • Attend the graduation rehearsal. The rehearsal will provide graduates with the opportunity to become familiar with the ceremony, stage process, seating arrangements, and other important instructions. Your invitation cards will be distributed on Wednesday 9 December 2026.
On ceremony day
  1. Arrive between 8:30 a.m. GST. Graduates should arrive before guest check-in begins. [To be confirmed]
  2. Report to the designated graduate check-in desk upon arrival.
  3. Take your assigned seat. Graduates will be seated in alphabetical order and must remain in their assigned seats throughout the ceremony unless directed otherwise by the Graduation Team.
  4. Follow the instructions of the Graduation Team at all times, particularly when preparing to proceed to and from the stage.
  5. Remain seated and in place until the ceremony and recessional have concluded, unless instructed otherwise.
  6. Keep your mobile phone switched off and put away throughout the ceremony.
  7. Photography and video recording are not permitted during the ceremony or while graduates are on stage. Please remain focused on the ceremony and follow the instructions of the Graduation Team.
