Global Studies University Joins ATypI 2026 Sharjah as Academic Partner

Global Studies University (GSU) is an academic partner for ATypI 2026 Sharjah, taking place October 28–31, 2026, at the University of the Arts Sharjah.

ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to type and typography. Its Sharjah conference marks its first gathering in Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA), a region with rich traditions of writing, calligraphy, and multilingual exchange.

Under the theme “Between: Tradition • Transition • Transformation,” the conference brings together designers, researchers, and educators to explore writing, design, and cultural exchange.

GSU joins the University of Reading, the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography at ArtCenter, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in supporting type education and research.
