Zaynab Kriouech is a Moroccan Ph.D. student in Global Studies at Global Studies University, specializing in Cultural, Visual, and Literary Studies. Her research explores craft, heritage, collective memory, and archival practices, with particular attention to African and Amazigh knowledge. Drawing on her design practice and work with textiles and weaving, she examines how systems of documentation can impose external frameworks on living Indigenous traditions. Through her doctoral studies, Zaynab seeks to develop alternative approaches to researching and archiving heritage that respond to its changing contexts and inform her practice as a designer and researcher.
