Stephen Larzen Juma is a Kenyan Ph.D. student in Global Studies at Global Studies University, specializing in Historical, Political, and Social Studies. His research examines how International Monetary Fund fiscal policies and conditionalities shape domestic politics, governance, and youth precarity in Kenya. Informed by his background in international political economy and experience in public policy, research, and peacebuilding, his interests include Pan-Africanism, decolonial thought, and Africa’s position in the global political and economic order. Through his doctoral studies, Stephen seeks to contribute scholarship that informs inclusive, context-sensitive policymaking across the Global South.
