Ibrahim Mohamed Aboelkheir is a Ph.D. student in Global Studies at Global Studies University, specializing in Historical, Political, and Social Studies, from the United Arab Emirates. His research interests include African economic restructuring under the African Continental Free Trade Area, state agency and sovereignty, and UAE–Africa relations. Drawing on his engineering background and experience in research and project leadership, he examines development through political economy and decolonial perspectives. Through his doctoral studies, Ibrahim seeks to connect comparative scholarship with policy and investment decisions that support sustainable and socially grounded economic transformation across the Global South.
