Tsgiemariam Sete Abebe is a Master of Arts (MA) student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Diplomacy and Africa’s International Relations, from Ethiopia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations and joined the program to build on this foundation while gaining broader interdisciplinary perspectives. Her research focuses on state power, violence, development policies, political economy, and the interactions of African states with international financial institutions. Through her studies, Tsgiemariam aims to develop a nuanced understanding of governance and policy-making in Africa and contribute meaningfully to scholarship in the field.
