Do graduating students have to attend the rehearsal?
Yes. The rehearsal covers the procession, seating, stage movement and announcement of graduates’ names.
What time should graduates arrive?
On the ceremony day, graduates must arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am GST and report to the designated graduate check-in desk. All graduates must arrive by 9:00 am.
What if I cannot attend the ceremony?
Please inform Student Support as early as possible if you are unable to attend. No one may participate in the ceremony or collect your certificate on your behalf.
Are children allowed to attend the graduation ceremony?
Children aged 12 and above are welcome to attend. Every guest must present a valid invitation card to enter the ceremony venue.
When do I get my guest invitation cards?
Invitation cards will be distributed to graduates on Wednesday, December 9, 2026. They will not be available for collection or issuance on the day of the ceremony. Every guest must present a valid invitation card to enter the ceremony venue.
How many guests can I invite?
Each graduate may invite four guests and will receive four printed invitation cards.
I am an international student. Can I get an invitation letter for my family?
Yes. Contact Student Support as early as possible to request an official invitation letter. The letter does not replace an invitation card. Each graduate receives four invitation cards, and every guest must present one to enter the ceremony venue.
What time should guests arrive?
Guest admission is from 9:00 to 9:45 am GST. Guests will not be admitted after 9:45 am. Every guest must present a valid invitation card.
Can family and friends watch the ceremony online?
Yes. The ceremony will be streamed live on Maraya, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s digital platform. The viewing link and access details will be available on the Photography and Live Streaming page closer to the ceremony date.
What happens if my regalia is damaged or I do not wear it?
Academic regalia is the official attire required for participation in the graduation ceremony. Graduates must wear their assigned regalia to participate on stage.
If you return your regalia, it must be in good condition. If it is damaged, your deposit will not be refunded.
Can I keep my regalia after the ceremony?
Yes. Graduates who wish to keep their regalia may do so. The deposit will not be refunded in that case.
