Lina Haggar

Art Consultant and Interior Decorator, Dubai, UAE

Lina Haggar is a Sudanese entrepreneur and art consultant based in Dubai. Born in Amman, Jordan, she has nearly twenty-five years of experience as an independent interior designer. As a partner in the philanthropic division of the Haggar Companies, she has made significant contributions to the art community in Sudan.

In 2005, she opened Dabanga, Sudan’s first art gallery, and co-authored Art in Time of Adversity with Tarneem Saeed, highlighting contemporary Sudanese artists. Haggar has played a crucial role in developing the market for contemporary art in Sudan. Her latest book, Tsqot Bass, documents the Khartoum sit-in wall paintings from the December Revolution.
